The best way to store a silicone sealant or sealant after use is to prevent air from coming into contact with the unused product in the tube or cartridge. One way to do this is to squeeze out a small air bubble so that it plugs the open end of the nozzle, creating an airtight seal. You can then apply a small piece of sealing material to the entire nozzle end and secure it in place with a rubber band. While doing this won't guarantee permanent quality either, it can significantly extend the shelf life after opening.…
